The story is about Mio who in the beginning lives in Stockholm with his adoptive parents because his mom died in labor. And when Mio asks his parents who his dad is they just say he is a big asshole and have left him, this is not the case and his dad lives in Faraway lands and are the king there. And one night he get taken to his father the king and end up living there. He gets a new friend named Pompoo. He also get his own horse named Miramis who is a magic horse who can fly like a bird. After a while in Faraway lands Mio realizes he has to fight the evil guy named Sir Kato. He takes Miramis and his friend and rides there where they meat a good guy and get to know where they can find a sword. The spies who work for sir Kato takes Miramis. Then Mio ans his friend walked to get the sword and then kills sir Kato. After that everyone is happy.

I personally hates the story and thinks it really boring but for someone who likes to read and likes childish storys I think they could like it. I think it is a really good story for children if the parents read for them, a good story before bed time. It can aslo be good if you want to learn a new language because its easy to read, very simple writing.
